Dr. Michael J. Plewa

Dr. Michael J. Plewa is Emeritus Professor of Genetics and University Scholar in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He was a member of the NSF Center grant and is with the Safe Global Water Institute in the College of Engineering. We was the past President of the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society and a Chair of the Gordon Research Conference on DBPs. He developed a robust quantitative database on the toxicity of DBPs and currently is focused on identifying DBP forcing agents of toxicity in disinfected waters. He has over 270 research publications.
