Dr. Md Muktadir Talukder

As a postdoctoral research fellow, I have been working in the drug discovery group of Dr. Tanya Parish at Seattle Children's Hospital. The role is to develop small molecule-based anti-tubercular drug candidates. Completed Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas. While working in Dr. Stefan's research group for the Ph.D. career, I worked on designing and developing new catalytic systems for cross-coupling reactions by synthesizing novel group 10 alpha diimine metal complexes. The goal is to apply those newly developed synthetic tools for synthesizing pharmaceutically active small molecules and polymers having broader functional group tolerance and widen substrate scope.
