Matthew McManus MSc

Matthew McManus, MSc is the Laboratory Director at AAL, Inc., a cannabis analytical startup in Sonoma County, California. AAL bolsters the California cannabis industry. An essential piece of quality assurance in cannabis goods sold within the state, the laboratory will offer dosage checks in smokable flower and infused products. These checks verify label claims for phytochemicals like cannabinoids and check for trace contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, solvents, mycotoxins, foreign matter, and microbial content. Entering into the cannabis space in 2014, Matthew started as the lab director in Oakland, California with Steep Hill Labs. Over the last 6 years, his support helped vaporizer brands, contract manufacturing groups, and edible brands supply consistent and reliable cannabis products in an emerging state regulated market. Matthew is excited about our exploration inward with cannabis.
