Dr. Matthew Boyce

Postdoctoral Researcher, Environmental Protection Agency (ORAU)

In 2018, Matthew received his PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) studying under Matthew Lockett. While at UNC, Matthew's research focused on the development and integration of optodes into paper-based cultures to study the relationship between oxygen and tumor progression. After graduation, Matthew spent two years performing method development for early-phase pharmaceuticals but eventually left the benchtop to join the EPA as a contract researcher and gain experience in computational chemistry.

Matthew's current research focuses is on the use of in silico metabolite prediction tools to aid  metabolite identification in high-resolution mass spectrometry datasets.
