Mark graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology with Distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in 2006. He went on to obtain a masters degree in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton in 2009 and worked under Professor Joe Vinson studying the effects of antioxidants on arteriosclerosis. After teaching chemistry for several years at the University of Scranton, he went on to obtain a doctorate in Chemistry from Purdue University. He worked under distinguished Professor Hillka Kenttamaa performing mass spectrometric analysis of complex mixtures, investigated collision-activated dissociation methods and explored correlations between hydrocarbons and physical and chemical properties of fuels. He graduated with a PhD in May of 2019. Currently, he works at NAVAIR in as a research and analytical chemist.
