Marc-Andre Courtemanche

Research Scientist, Dow

Marc obtained his PhD from Laval University where he focused on the chemistry of Frustrated Lewis Pair applied to the conversion of carbon dioxide and C-H activation. Marc then completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Kit Cummins at MIT where he studied transient phosphinidene complexes of vanadium and CO2/ethylene coupling to acrylates in collaboration with SABIC. At Dow, he has been relentlessly focused on sustainable product design using silicone-organic hybrids.  Recently, Marc went back to his roots and is developing main-group catalysts to improve industrial processes.
