Madeleine DeBrosse

Doctoral Candidate, University of Cincinnati

Madeleine DeBrosse is currently a Chemical Engineering Doctoral Candidate and DAGSI Research Fellow at the University of Cincinnati within the Novel Device Lab (NDL) under the supervision of Dr. Jason Heikenfeld. She received her B.A. in Chemistry at Clark University in 2014 and her M.S. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Wright State University in 2018. Her research focuses on novel limit-of-detection reducing methodologies towards enabling continuous nanomolar biosensors. Prior to becoming a graduate student, Madeleine worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Research Chemist in the Biological Interactions of Nanomaterials (BIN) group where she synthesized biocompatible nanoparticles for in vitro toxicological assessment and detection applications. Madeleine plans to graduate in June 2022 and hopes to start a career in industry.
