Luke Ackerman has been an ACS member studying and developing analytical methods since 1999. He received is BS at Gonzaga University and PhD at Oregon State University, and has developed methods for everything from transuranic waste to trace multi-contaminant environmental fate, to food analysis, targeted and screening techniques, and participated in standard settings, validations, and reference material certifications. His focus as been on mass spectrometric techniques to assist in these endeavors, and to make analytical characterization for food safety faster, better, cheaper.
