Linzixuan Zhang

Linzixuan (Rhoda) Zhang is a PhD candidate advised by Prof. Robert Langer and Dr. Ana Jaklenec in the Department of Chemical Engineering, MIT. She received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with the Highest Distinction from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Rhoda is currently leading research on the development of a biodegradable poly(beta-amino ester) microparticle platform for micronutrient stabilization and oral delivery, aiming to tackle the hidden hunger crisis in low-to middle-income countries. She is optimizing multiple aspects of the polymer formulations to further improve the long-term stability and to expand applicability of the microparticle-based technology with potential for real-world implementation. Rhoda is also working on development of self-boosting vaccines using core-shell microparticle delivery platforms.
