Session: Successful Student Chapters:

The American Chemical Society student chapter at The University of Texas at Tyler strives to be an active part of the community by spreading the knowledge and excitement of chemistry while bettering the community with volunteer work. In addition to learning and spreading the word about chemistry, chapter members have increased leadership abilities while participating in an array of chapter activities. We take pride in our chapter awards that have been received over the past 21 years, and we strive to make our student chapter as successful as possible. We hope to set an example for other chapters on how to maintain a successful chapter and give different ideas on ways to reach out to their members, campus, or community. Our poster will feature segments on: campus outreach, community outreach, professional involvement, K-12 activities, community service, social events and how we’ve adapted to some activities due to COVID.
