Dr. Kerry L McPhail

Kerry McPhail currently serves as President of the American Society for Pharmacognosy, and is a professor of natural products and medicinal chemistry at Oregon State University. She has over twenty years of natural products research experience, directly in the isolation and molecular structure elucidation of biologically active natural products from cyanobacteria, marine invertebrates, heterotrophic bacteria, and terrestrial hypocrealean fungi. Her research group collaborates closely with synthetic chemists, chemical biologists, microbiologists, evolutionary biologists and pharmacologists to investigate the biosynthesis and biological mechanisms of new natural products discovered in her lab.
