Kenta Kawashima received his B.Eng. (2014) and M.Eng. (2016) in Environmental Science and Technology from Shinshu University and joined the research group of C. Buddie Mullins as a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) in 2016. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate (Chemistry) in the Mullins research group at UT Austin. His research focuses on developing highly active (photo)electrocatalysts for efficient water splitting and the application of a flux (molten-salt) synthesis method for studying crystal growth.
