Katarina Keel

Hi, I am a PhD student at Michigan State University, with plans to graduate in summer of 2021. At MSU, I work with Dr. Jetze Tepe on the design and synthesis of small molecules for the treatment of neurodegeneration. Additionally, I have undertaken the first total synthesis of a complex heterocyclic natural product, nortopsentine D. Outside of research, I am an active leader within the ACS MSU Women in Chemistry chapter, where we organize professional development opportunities and community social events for graduate students and post docs. Lastly, I am actively looking for an industrial position post-graduation and would be interested in any opportunities that come my way.
