
Dr. Karl J Feierabend
Associate Professor, The College of Wooster
Karl is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at The College of Wooster in northeast Ohio. At this primarily undergraduate institution, he teaches physical and general chemistry and regularly mentors research students in the College's signature Senior Independent Study program. Trained as an atmospheric and physical chemist (PhD from University of Colorado, Boulder in 2006), his current research investigates photochemistry of trace organic contaminants in aqueous environments, specifically coumarin-derived drugs and pesticides. Karl also currently serves as Program Director for the College's HHMI Inclusive Excellence 3 grant focused on "meaningful evaluation of effective and inclusive teaching". He holds a BS in Chemistry from Furman University (2001).
