Karina J Reynolds

Karina is a PhD Candidate at the University of Southern Mississippi, working with Dr. Sergei Nazarenko. Her research focuses three main areas: 1. The development and investigation of new flame retardant additives for polymeric materials, 2. The utilization of metal coordination to imidazole modified thiol-ene networks for improved properties, and 3. The computational simulation of shockwave propagation in homo and copolymers.

Karina received her B.S. in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA in 2017. She aims to graduate with her PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering in the Spring of 2022.
