Julius Oppenheim

Julius (Jules) received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Caltech, where he studied with Prof. William Goddard III, Prof. Harry Gray, and Prof. Theo Agapie. During his time there, he developed skills in computational chemistry and synthetic inorganic chemistry. Following his bachelor's, Julius decided to move to Cambridge, MA and start a PhD in Chemistry in the lab of Prof. Mircea Dinca at MIT. In the Dinca lab, Julius has been investigating the development and use of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as water sorbents for applications such as atmospheric water harvesting.
