Dr. Jozef Stec PhD

Jozef is appointed as the full-time faculty member at Marshall B. Ketchum University's College of Pharmacy. He obtained degrees and training in Molecular and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (MSc with Honors, Gdansk University of Technology, Poland); Synthetic Organic and Organometallic Chemistry (PhD, University of Southampton, England, UK); and Medicinal Chemistry (Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Illinois at Chicago, USA).

Jozef's research interests are in the field of widely understood synthetic organic and modern medicinal chemistry. In the center of his research endeavors are: new reaction discovery and optimization, synthesis of natural products, discovery and development of antibacterial/antitubercular and antiprotozoal agents, as well as synthesis of chemical probes for orphan nuclear receptors. His research productivity is reflected in manuscripts published in internationally acclaimed journals as well as numerous conference presentations.
