Joy Waite-Cusic Ph.D.

Joy Waite-Cusic is an Associate Professor of Food Safety Systems at Oregon State University. She grew up on a dairy farm outside of Florence, Oregon. Joy uses her expertise and curiosity to support farms and food processors to reduce the risks of foodborne illness. She works with the industry to identify challenges and provide practical approaches that will improve public health and keep our local farms and processors in business. This work has become even more important since the passage of the Food Safety Modernization Act ("FSMA").
