Joshua Seylar

PhD Candidate - Polymer Engineering, The University of Akron

Joshua Seylar is currently working to earn his PhD in Polymer Engineering in the School of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Akron. He works under Dr. Ruel McKenzie in the Dynamics of Complex Systems Laboratory (DOCS Lab). His work involves the adaptation of helical molecules to engineering-scale applications in materials science and polymer chemistry. His Undergraduate degree was in Materials Science from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He has worked for the University of Tennessee Nonwovens Research Lab, Bryce Corporation (Flexible Packaging Company), Oak Ridge National Labs under Dr. Michael Lance, and Air-Force Research Labs under Dr. Davide Simone and Dr. Vikas Varshney.
