Joseph Gurrentz

Research scientist with a passion for outreach and advocacy, devoted to improving sustainable energy generation, use, and storage practices. My Ph.D. research is focused on developing novel, highly specialized silicon photoelectrodes functionalized with metal-containing molecular catalysts to study solar energy conversion processes for more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly renewable energy technologies. My career goal is to integrate high-quality scientific understanding into the state and federal policymaking process to help tackle critical environmental issues.
