Dr. Jonathan Mosley oversees the LC-MS-based metabolomics laboratory at the EPA in Athens, GA, as Principal Investigator. This includes performing metabolomics research with various ecologically relevant species in a variety of biofluids and tissues, including the novel application of metabolomics in fish skin mucus. Dr. Mosley also develops novel applications of UPLC/high resolution accurate mass (HRAM) mass spectrometry for biomonitoring phase II transformation products of priority contaminants in ecologically relevant species.
Outside of his core duties, Dr. Mosley is also involved in the metabolomics Quality Assurance and Quality Control Consortium (mQACC) designed to develop a collaborative effort among relevant stakeholders in academic, industry and government institutions to address key QA and QC issues in the untargeted metabolomics field. He currently serves as the founding co-chair of the Best Practices Working Group within mQACC.
