Jonathan Alan King is Prof. of Molecular Biology Emeritus at MIT in Cambridge, MA. He is the author of some 300 biomedical research articles on protein folding, virus assembly and eye lens cataract disease. A former President of the Biophysical Society, Guggenheim Fellow and Gordon Conference Chair, Prof. King is a recipient of the NIH MERIT Award and MIT Faculty Leadership Award. HIs paper on Type I diabetes represents a long term interest in diseases of environmental and occupational etiology.
