Dr. Jason M Stevens

Jason M. Stevens (Jay) is originally from Saratoga Springs, NY and completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Oswego in 2003. In 2005 he initiated his Ph.D. studies in the laboratory of Professor Michael Crimmins at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he completed the total synthesis of the natural product irciniastatin A. Following his Ph.D. he pursued postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Professor David MacMillan at Princeton University where he developed an enantioselective alpha-alkenylation of aldehydes with alkenyl boronic acids through synergistic amino- and copper catalysis. He joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2012 as a process development chemist before moving to the High-Throughput Experimentation group in 2016. In 2020 he began a new role as Computer Assisted Synthesis Lead in the technology group at BMS Process where he develops data science applications to impact the portfolio.
