Dr. Jared B DeCoste
Senior Research Chemist, US Army DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center
Dr. DeCoste is a Senior Research Chemist at the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC). His last 10 years of experience at CBC have been in the Chem/Bio Protection and decontamination Division mainly focusing on novel materials development of the remediation of threats. This expertise is specifically in the development of novel materials for active decontamination of chemical threats. He has more than 60 peer reviewed publications in the field. He leads CBC's effort in developing materials from synthetic biology. He has been recognized for his work through awards including the ACS MD Chemist of the Year and Achievement Medal for Civilian Service.
