Dr. Jaqueline L Kiplinger

Laboratory Fellow, Los Alamos National Laboratory

Dr. Jaqueline L. Kiplinger is currently a Laboratory Fellow & Actinide Chemistry Team Leader in the Chemistry Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). She is also a fellow of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). She joined LANL as a Technical Staff Member in Chemistry Division in July 2002. 

Her research focuses on exploratory early transition metal, rare earth and actinide chemistry, where she maintains a multidisciplinary research program that applies inorganic/organometallic, materials, fluorocarbon, organic, and metal-mediated catalytic chemistries towards the U.S. programmatic needs in energy (circular economy), defense, and threat reduction. 

She has authored over 100 publications in refereed journals and has 5 issued patents. In 2015, she was selected as the first woman to receive the ACS F. Albert Cotton Award in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry.
