Prof. Dr. James A MacKay

AC Baugher Professor of Chemistry, Elizabethtown College

James A. MacKay is the A.C. Baugher Professor of Chemistry at Elizabethtown College. He earned a BS in Chemistry, from Miami University (Gung) , a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan (Vedejs) and performed postdoctoral research through an American Cancer Society Fellowship at the University of Chicago (Rawal). He has been on the faculty at Elizabethtown College since 2007.  His research interests include synthetic organic chemistry, heterocycle synthesis, and applications in molecular recognition and is most driven by a passion for training and mentoring undergraduates in chemistry and biochemistry.
