Jakub Ettrich

My name is Jakub Ettrich and I am a student of Biochemistry at Barry University. I was born in the post-communist Czech Republic and made my way over to the United States where I am pursuing my degrees and career. I have not only laboratory experience from the University of South Bohemia, where I did research that included extracting DNA and RNA from ticks in order to discover what percentage carried the diseases commonly carried by ticks, but I also have experience in working with younger students, older students, and leadership experience through the Barry Chemistry Club where I am the current Secretary. Additionally, being born in the Czech Republic, I know how to speak Czech, German, and I understand Slovak, in addition to English.
