DR ISHITA MUKHERJEE PROJECT ASSOCIATE

Career Objective:

My name is Ishita Mukherjee, now working as a project associate in The University of Burdwan, India to explore biological applications of biodegradable carbohydrate based three dimensional networks. My Ph.D. thesis demonstrated potential antibacterial applications of architecturally variable macromolecules. To contribute through dedication, hard work and sincerity towards the overall growth of the organization wherein I get the opportunity of explore my academic, technical and scientific knowledge and prove my credentials as a reputed professional. I have attended 10 National, International seminars and have presented posters in five conferences.

Ø  Synthesis of polymers from renewable resources and amino acid based monomers via controlled radical polymerization techniques.

Ø  Detailed characterization and post polymerization modification of polymers.

Ø  Multistep organic synthesis, Manipulation under inert atmosphere.

Ø  Antibacterial activity study (zone of inhibition, growth curve, Gram staining, FESEM analysis).

Ø  Hemolytic activity of our synthesized polymers.

Ø  Synthesis of polymer protein conjugates.

Ø  Activity and half life measurement of polymer protein conjugate.
