I have been writing scientific software for over 30 years.  Mainly in the field of cheminformatics, but also for visualizing electron microscopy data.  In my current role I utilise the chemistry I learnt all those years ago during my Ph. D.  In the last year and a half I  have increased the number of reactions included in namerxn with 50 % and doubled the number of patterns used for matching the reactions.
