Ikeer Mancera-Ortiz

Ikeer Mancera-Ortiz is a DACA student born in Mexico City. He is a rising senior at Wake Forest University majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Medicinal Chemistry as well as minoring in Biology. He strives to become a Cancer Researcher in an attempt to help people and improve the quality of life. His main research has been with the Bierbach group at Wake Forest, synthesizing active Pt(IV) anticancer agents in an attempt to make potent prodrugs to effectively kill cancer tumors.
