After a PhD at the University of Keele and Postdoctoral research at University College London Ian Wilson worked in the areas of bioanalysis, metabolic phenotyping and drug metabolism in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years, most recently as a Senior Principal Scientist with AstraZeneca at Alderley Park in Cheshire (UK).
He moved to Imperial College London in 2012 where he was Professor of Drug Metabolism and Molecular Toxicology. He is now a visiting Professor at Imperial with research interests directed towards the development and application of advanced analytical techniques to in vitro and in vivo models to problems in drug metabolism and toxicology. This research has a particular focus on high throughput analysis for bioanalysis, drug metabolite profiling and both metabolic and proteomic phenotyping by LC/MS and LC/IM/MS.
He is the author or co-author of over 570 publications in these areas with a H index of 80+.
