Prof. Hemanth Noothalapati

Dr. Hemanth Noothalapati is an Assistant Professor in 'Faculty of Life and Environmental Science' in Shimane University, Matsue, Japan. Born and raised in southern India, he obtained Master's degree in chemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. He then received Taiwan Scholarship from Ministry of Education to pursue PhD in National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu where he studied single cell applications of Raman microscopy. After a short postdoctoral fellowship in Ultimate Spectroscopy and Imaging Laboratory at NCTU, he moved to Shimane University. His scientific research is primarily oriented towards single-cell imaging, biomedical applications of Raman spectroscopy and development of chemometric approaches for hyperspectral and imaging data.
