Dr. Ghayoor Abbas Chotana

Dr. Ghayoor Abbas Chotana earned his M.Sc. from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 1998. After working as lecturer in chemistry at GC University Lahore for couple of years, he moved to USA in 2002 for his PhD studies at Michigan State University, USA. There he worked on applications of iridium-catalyzed atomatic C-H activation borylation under the guidance of Prof. Milton R Smith III and Prof. Robert E Maleczka. From 2008 to 2009 he worked with Prof. Dan J Mindiola as post doc on Titanium catalyzed carboamination reactions. Since 2009 Dr. Ghayoor Abbas is working at Lahore University of Management Sciences where is is teaching inorganic chemistry to undergraduate and graduate students. His are of interst is metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.
