Ganga Hettiarachchi's professional objective is to develop a career-sustaining, internationally recognized research program at Kansas State University to address and solve the pressing agronomic and environmental needs of the United States and worldwide. Her research focuses on understanding fundamental issues regarding nutrient and potentially toxic trace elements' bioavailability in the environment and uses this knowledge to develop practical solutions for nutrient management and deficiencies or elemental toxicities.
