Fathima T. Doole
Graduate Student, University of Arizona
I earned my B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Kelaniya, back in my home country, Sri Lanka. My undergraduate research with Dr. S.S Skandharaja, inspired me to pursue higher education in chemistry. I am currently a 4th-year graduate student working towards a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, at the University of Arizona under Dr. Michael F. Brown doing research in the field of biophysics.
My current research is focused on developing an antimicrobial peptide-functionalized biomaterial in collaboration with Kim Lab at Biomedical Engineering, which involves interdisciplinary work in the fields of solid-state 2H NMR spectroscopy, material science, and molecular dynamics simulations.
