Esha was born in New Haven, CT and grew up in Carlsbad, CA. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Toxicology. During her time in college, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the lab of Prof. Daniel Nomura. She is currently a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University, in the lab of Prof. Neil Osheroff. Esha's thesis research seeks to understand the effects of DNA topology on DNA catenation and decatenation. Outside of lab, Esha enjoys drawing, painting, and cooking.
