Professor Erno Kuzmann

rnő Kuzmann was graduated at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) as a physicist. He obtained PhD. Degree in Physics from the ELTE in 1973. Dr. Kuzmann was a Monbusho-fellow at the Osaka University between 1978-1980. Between 1981-84 he was a researcher at the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions at the JINR in Dubna. He became a titular professor of the Glasgow Caledonian University in 1996. He was a guest professor at the University of Brasília in 1996/1997. In 2003, he received his DSc. degree from the HAS and obtained Dr. Habil. degree at ELTE. In 2004, he became full professor at ELTE. Simultaneously he was appointed to be head of the Laboratory of Nuclear Chemistry at the Chemical Research Center of HAS in 2007. The areas of his research activity include physics of alloys, high temperature superconductors, heavy ion irradiation effects, coordination chemistry, surface chemistry and nanochemistry, corrosion studies, chemical, biochemical, biological, mineralogical and industrial applications of Mössbauer spectroscopy. He is the author/co-author of more than 650 scientific publications, including numerous monographs. He is a recipient of many prestigious national and international awards.
