Dr. Elizabeth Contreras Ph.D.

Elizabeth is an R&D scientist at the Aramco Americas: Aramco Research Center in Houston, TX, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, a major chemicals and energy company. She joined Aramco in 2015, where her projects are mostly in cementing, fluidics, and polymer chemistry. She currently holds 22 granted patents for her inventions at Aramco on sustainability and cements. Contreras received her bachelor's in chemistry from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi before going to Cornell University to get her master's in Chemistry and Chemical Biology. Later, she received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rice University in Houston, TX, where she currently resides with her husband Jesús and sons, Itzak and Lukas.
