Dr. Dorothy J. Wingfield Phillips is serving her third term on the American Chemical Society Board of Directors, Director-at-Large, 2014- 2022.
Education: Vanderbilt University B.A. chemistry; University of Cincinnati Ph.D. biochemistry. Career: Dow Chemical Company, 1974-84. Waters Corporation, 1984-2013, retired as Director of Strategic Marketing.
Honors: The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) Lifetime Achievement Award, 2020; Vanderbilt University 2019 Class of Trailblazers and Dorothy J. Wingfield Phillips Chancellor's Faculty Fellowships, 2017; American Chemical Society Fellow, Class of 2010; and Northeastern Section ACS Henry A. Hill Award, 2006.
