Dmitriy Chekmarev

Dmitriy Chekmarev obtained his PhD in Computational Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago. Short after, Dmitriy moved to the US East Coast to work on methodological aspects of biomolecular simulations. A few years later, Dmitriy switched to cheminformatics when he went to work as a senior scientist to Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences (formerly UMDNJ). After a short stint with big pharma (Merck), Dmitriy joined IFF in 2013. At IFF, Dmitriy currently leads several projects in structure-property and structure-odor prediction, environment risk assessment and provides modeling support for analytical and synthetic chemistry. His interests are in the development of practical applications of the advanced AI/ML methods for structure-property prediction and molecular modeling and design.
