Dirgha Raj Joshi

As a pharmacist by profession and synthetic/medicinal chemist by choice, I'm in the field of pharmacy from my high school (3+4+2+4 years). Currently preparing thesis work for Ph.D. graduation (Organic synthesis/Medicinal Chemistry, expected to complete thesis submission by mid-June 2022, Yonsei University, South Korea). I completed MS Pharmacy (Medicinal Chemistry, Wonkwang University, South Korea), and BS Pharmacy (Pokhara University, Nepal). 

My research focused on developing a new synthetic methodology to construct diverse heterocycles, total synthesis, and hit to lead optimization through SAR study. Mostly my approach towards one-pot multicomponent reaction; quinone-indolizine, azide chemistry, chromenes, chromone-indolizine, solvent controlled divergent synthesis, aminoarylbenzofurane, green chemistry, etc. 

I'm currently serving as president at the Society of Nepalese Students in Korea-SONIK
