Dr. David Lehmann

Toxicologist, U.S. EPA

Dr. David Lehmann is a Toxicologist in the Center for Public Health & Environmental Assessment (CPHEA) at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). His research is focused on the assessment of environmental chemicals for immunotoxicity in species including humans, rodents, and hymenoptera (i.e., bees). In addition, he has dedicated much of his career to the development and application of alternative, non-animal methods for the detection of immunotoxicants. To supplement his research interests, he has applied his broad knowledge of toxicology and scientific experimentation as an Editorial Board member of the journal Toxicological Sciences and PLOS ONE. He has authored 47 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, highly influential scientific reports. Dr. Lehmann received MS and PhD graduate degrees in Toxicology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
