Professor Danielle Dube (she/her/hers) is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Bowdoin College. She currently serves as Executive Secretary and Program Chair of the Division of Carbohydrate Chemistry of the American Chemical Society. Prof. Dube received her B.A. from Cornell University before moving to University of California, Berkeley where she obtained her Ph.D. in 2005 under Prof. Carolyn Bertozzi. Following postdoctoral studies with Prof. Jen Kohler at Stanford University, she began her independent career at Bowdoin College in 2007. Prof. Dube's research focuses on developing chemical tools to study and target carbohydrates on the surface of bacterial pathogens. Her work with undergraduates has been recognized by the Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award and supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health.
