Cindy Wong
Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Student, Oregon State University
Cindy Wong is a third year, chemical engineering, undergraduate student at Oregon State University (OSU). She currently conducts undergraduate research under Dr. Kelsey Stoerzinger and Dr. Kostas Goulas related to seawater electrolysis and energy storage through OSU's Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and the Arts (URSA) Engage program. Cindy started researching seawater electrolysis in Dr. Stoerzinger's lab through the Pete and Rosalie Johnson Internship Program at OSU. Previously, Cindy worked on a research project designing sustainable menstrual pads in Dr. Skip Rochefort's lab at OSU. She began her research career in this lab studying the drag reduction capabilities of high molecular weight polymer solutions at low concentrations in turbulent pipe flow through the Apprenticeship in Science and Engineering (ASE) program. After graduating, Cindy plans to pursue a PhD in chemical engineering and focus on research in clean energy storage, sustainable energy, or materials science.
