Dr. Chunshan Song is a Distinguished Professor of Fuel Science, Professor of Chemical Engineering, and Director of the EMS Energy Institute at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He received BS in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China, and MS and PhD in Applied Chemistry from Osaka University, Japan. He worked at Research Center of Osaka Gas Company in Japan before joining Penn State in Nov 1989. His research is focused on adsorption, catalysis, clean energy and sustainable development, including adsorptive CO2 separation and catalytic CO2 conversion, adsorptive and catalytic hydrocarbon processing and energy conversion, synthesis and application of novel nano-porous materials and shape-selective catalysis for chemicals ad fuels.
