Dr. Chi K. Nguyen Ph.D.

Dr. Nguyen graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. degree in chemistry and was commissioned in the United States Army in 1997. She earned a M.S. degree in management from University of Maryland University College in 2003, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from University of California Santa Barbara in 2005 and 2016, respectively.

Dr. Nguyen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Life Science and serves as the Program Director for an American Chemical Society (ACS) certified Chemistry Program. She is the course director for General Chemistry II and Polymer Chemistry with experience teaching General Chemistry I and leading instruction for an Inorganic Chemistry course. She is actively involved in advising Cadets as an academic counselor, mentoring Cadets as a research advisor, and facilitating enrichment opportunities for Cadets as the faculty advisor for the ACS Student Section at West Point.
