Dr. Chaoji Chen

Chaoji Chen, Professor of School of Resource and Environmental Sciences at Wuhan University. Dr. Chen focuses on the engineering, functionalization and potential sustainable uses of biomass resources such as wood, bamboo, cellulose and chitin, toward addressing the material-energy-environmental challenges. As the first, co-first or corresponding author, Dr. Chen has published more than 80 SCI articles, including Nature (2), Science, Nature Reviews Materials, Nature Sustainability (2), Nature Communications (3), among others. His works have been widely cited by global researchers for over 14,000 times with an H-factor of 65 (google scholar). Recently, he was featured in the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers 2021 List (Materials Science). Chen received multiple awards including 2021 MIT Technology Review "35 Innovators Under 35" Asia Pacific Award, 2021 China's Rising Star of Science and Technology Outstanding Impact Award, 2018 R&D100 Awards.
