Graduate Student, University of Manitoba, Canda
I am a Graduate Student at the University of Manitoba and a Graduate Research Affiliate at Agriculture and Agri-food, Canada. I received my Bachelor's from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Then I did my postgraduate studies at the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Uppsala University, Sweden. My research interests include food chemistry, analytical chemistry, bioactive compound identification and quantification, and nanotechnology. Currently, I am working on identifying phenolic compounds, fatty acids, saponins and phytosterols in Canadian berries grown in prairies as a source of potentially bioactive molecules for cardiovascular health.
