Cesar Diaz is a mechatronics engineer with honors (Cum Laude award) from Bucaramanga, a city in Colombia. He has a specialization and a master in Maintenance management with a thesis about Intelligent systems for scenarios forecasting of costs and maintenance failures in palm oil mills using machine learning. Cesar has experience in the brewery industry related to World Class Manufacturing. Also, he has worked as a UAV flight developer engineer and he has experience in research projects related to biometrics devices and telemedicine solutions.

Actually, Cesar has worked in Cenipalma for 11 years, where he has developed projects related to palm oil mills KPIs, assets management methods, process automation, computer vision and artificial intelligence (Machine and Deep Learning), NIR spectroscopy prediction models, and one of the most important projects called TEMIS, a system for oil rate and oil quality measurement using technologies like NIR and process automation. TEMIS also represents the 1st patent of the Colombian oil palm sector with Cenipalma. He is working as a research associate in Processing, engineering, and added value program at Cenipalma.
