Bryan Katzenmeyer

Bryan Katzenmeyer is a business professional and former scientist with over 15 years of experience in mass spectrometry and separation techniques. He has expertise in characterizing materials, polymers, monomers, and small molecules, and has held various business and technical roles across multiple organizations. Currently, Bryan is a Director at JEOL, where he is responsible for the mass spectrometry business. Prior to joining JEOL, Bryan worked for Waters Corporation, where he managed the Materials Science market segment focusing on separation science, mass spectrometry, informatics, and chemistry consumables. Bryan has also worked as an Analytical Group Leader and Senior Scientist at Valspar, which is now part of Sherwin-Williams. Lastly, he worked in the mass spectrometry group at Lubrizol while pursuing his doctoral studies. Bryan holds a doctorate in Polymer/Analytical Chemistry from The University of Akron, where he conducted research under Distinguished Professor Chrys Wesdemiotis. His research focused on interfacing liquid chromatography and ion mobility separation with multi-dimensional mass spectrometry for the structural characterization of polymeric materials. He also holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Penn State University.
